Lazada Malaysia - It's all fun and games till they make a mistake
I've shopped on Lazada once or twice before and I received the item on-time and as described - no complaints there. But for my last order, I bought a number of stuff and all were delivered except for one that I was informed would be delayed. The very next day, I received another email saying that it had been delivered. I didn't receive anything.
Going back to Lazada's customer support page, you'll find that there is no way of contacting them. All you get are FAQs and there wasn't a suitable question for mine. I contacted them on twitter, where I was told to call the shipping company directly. I called the shipping company only to be told that it had been delivered, but when probed further, they checked only to find out that it had been returned. I was told to contact the seller.
The seller told me the same story, that it had been delivered. I told her to check, and again, she came back and said that it had been returned. Obviously I asked if they could resend it, but she said that they can't. I will have to ask for a refund from Lazada.
Bear in mind that I contacted them about a month after I purchased the item. Had I not bothered, they would've just quietly pocketed my money.
Now, two weeks later after contacting Lazada (who promised to look into it), I have yet to receive anything. It isn't a RM2 item, nor is it RM20. It is RM200, something that I need to save up for. I've sent them a reminder email again and they said that they will forward it to a department to look into - again.
Seriously.
It really is all fun and games till they make a mistake, then you never get your money back.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Monetary Loss: $50.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
Lazada Malaysia Cons: Poor response time.
